Spring marks the start of Aries season, which also represents the start of the astrological year.

March 20th heralds the cross quarter point of the year know as Spring Equinox. It’s a great time for new beginnings and fresh starts, and taking bold independent action towards realising our goals.

No sooner than we enter Ram season on the 19th of March, the universe dishes up the first in a series of eclipses on the Aries/ Libra axis in 2024, with the full moon lunar eclipse in the sign of Libra on March 25th.

This particular eclipse, will open a portal of transformation that will last approximately 6 months, right through until October 2024.

Libra rules our committed relationships. It is the sign at home in the 7th house in astrology, which is about partnerships in all their forms, from marriage, business, and generally any of the more meaningful relationships in our lives. As such this transit can bring a shake up to any unhealthy patterns of relating. Positively aspected Libra rules justice, beauty, and diplomacy. In its shadow aspect Libra can have a tendency towards people pleasing, conflict avoidance, and codependency.

If your relationships are off balance, this eclipse will likely shake things up, or close time on any unhealthy relationship dynamics so you can clear the slate for connections that are more in alignment with a more expansive version of you.

Two weeks later, on April 8th, the skies serve up the new moon total solar eclipse in Aries, conjunct Chiron the wounded healer which will bring rapid transformation around the self and our personal identity. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and rules the self. It’s independent by nature and is bold, confident and driven by their own impulses and desires.

This will feel like a complete fresh start for many signs, and will impact all cardinal signs (Capricorn, Aries, Cancer and Libra) the most. Aries is the sign ruled by the planet Mars, so collectively there could be a bubbling up of more political and international conflict during this time.

We'll also see communication planet Mercury turn retrograde in Aries (from April 1st-25th) so all things communication, travel and technology will be under the microscope. Watch your temper at this time, Aries energy is known for having a short fuse, so relying on our tools that create more inner calm such as breathwork and meditation will be really supportive during this period.
